Kurt Freund (1914 - October 23, 1996) was a sexologist who began studies of male sexual orientations using penile plethysmography in the early 1950s. He left his native Czechoslovakia in 1968 and moved to Canada. The Kurt Freund Phallometric Lab at the Clarke Institute of Psychiatry in Toronto is named after him.
