The racial makeup of the city is 96.39% White, 0.80% African American, 0.12% Native American, 0.86% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.86% from other races, and 0.96% from two or more races. 4.21% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 3,124 households out of which 34.7% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 71.1% are married couples living together, 6.9% have a female householder with no husband present, and 20.1% are non-families. 16.5% of all households are made up of individuals and 6.8% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
