Introduction

Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons is an audiovisual game ("video game") published by Nintendo and developed by Nintendo in conjunction with Capcom. Although the game was originally released for use on the Nintendo Game Boy Color, it exhibits special features, such as additional items, when played on a Nintendo Game Boy Advance.

This game is the counterpart of The Legend Of Zelda: Oracle Of Ages, which was released at the same time. These two games have the ability to link with one another, using either passwords or a cable, so that a person could play one game, and then transfer his or her progress to the other game.

Timeline Placement

Although the chronological order of all Legend of Zelda games is controversial and not official, it is generally accepted that The Legend of Zelda: Oracle Of Seasons occurred after The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and before The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening.

Storyline(spoiler-free)

The protagonist of the Legend Of Zelda series (with the notable exception of The Legend of Zelda: Zelda's Adventure), Link, is transported from his home world, Hyrule, to another world, Holodrum. Although it is uncertain exactly how this happened, it is believed that the goddesses (Nayru, Din, and Farore), sent Link to Holodrum. When Link arrives, he meets a women named Din (unrelated to the goddess Din), who is an excellent dancer. Link learns that Din is the Oracle of Seasons (that is, she keeps the seasons of Holodrum in order). She is soon kidnapped by General Onox, who wishes to cause chaos in Holodrum by adversly altering the seasons. It is Link's job to save Din and restore orderliness to Holodrum.
