Lesbian science fiction is a subgenre of science fiction that contains typical aspects of science fiction, except the main character or protagonst is almost always a lesbian. In addition, they are almost always written by a lesbian for a largely lesbian audience. It may have sexual imagery and aspects of science fiction erotica.
