Fictional curse words are profanities invented by authors of fiction, often science fiction.
- buck - from That Hideous Strength by C.S. Lewis
- dren - from Farscape; same meaning as 'shit'
- felgercarb - from Battlestar Galactica (or feldercarb, feldergarb or felgergarb)
- frak - from Battlestar Galactica (2003 miniseries seems to establish same meaning as 'fuck')
- fraz - from David Feintuch's Seafort Saga
- frell - from Farscape; same meaning as 'fuck'
- goit - from Red Dwarf
- gorram - from Firefly
- krunk - from Late Night with Conan O'Brien
- naff - from Porridge - said to be invented by Ronnie Barker, but also claimed to be an older term from Polari, a form of gay slang
- shazbot - from Mork and Mindy
- smeg - from Red Dwarf
- taff - from Thief, but possibly from earlier English ethnic slur "Taffy" or "Taff" for a Welshman (claimed to be thieves).
- tanj - from Larry Niven's Known Space books ("there ain't no justice")
