This is a list of regions of Slovakia from a time Slovakia belonged to Hungary. Most of them are still used informally for the corresponding territory:

The names of the remaining historic counties were identical with those of their central towns:
  • Bratislava
  • Nitra
  • Trencin
  • Komarno (southern part in today's Hungary)
  • Esztergom [in Slovak: Ostrihom] (southern part in today's Hungary)
  • Turňa (nad Bodvou) (southern part in today's Hungary)

The Uh County (Užská stolica), was situated along the Uh river and largerly belonged to what is now the Ukraine.
