She is one of the few women in WWE who is generally respected as a wrestler. She came to a wide audience first in Extreme Championship Wrestling in 1999 as the valet for Danny Doring and Amish Roadkill, known as "Miss Congeniality." She left ECW for WWE in late 1999. Upon her arrival in WWE, she was placed as the valet for a lucha libre wrestler named Essa Rios. As her popularity rised, she was placed with the Hardy Boyz and her career skyrocketed during their 3 ways. While filming a guest apperance on the FOX TV series Dark Angel in 2002, she suffered a severe neck injury that required surgery. She returned to in-ring action in September 2003.
