Lommedalen is a country area located in a small valley in Bærum, in the county of Akershus, Norway. The population is 10,290 people.Its neighbouring village, Bærums Verk, includes an old an iron foundry. The foundry (Bærums Jernverk) was set up by Paul Smelter, friend of Christian IV of Norway during the 1700s, producing iron cannon shells.
