He was a state representative in the Arizona House of Representative's 45th Legislature from 2001 to 2002. He debuted on September 6, 1991 for the St. Louis Cardinals. 1993 he started playing for the Cleveland Indians. 1996 he went to the New York Mets. 1997 he joined the Chicago Cubs. 1999 he changed to the Texas Rangers.
