Mark Edward Souder (born July 18, 1950, in Fort Wayne, Indiana) is serving his fifth term as a member of the United States House of Representatives from Indiana's Third Congressional District. A member of the Republican Party, his first term in Congress began in January of 1994. The Third District lies in northeast and northcentral Indiana and includes all of DeKalb, Kosciusko, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben and Whitley Counties as well as major portions of Allen and Elkhart counties.

He attended Leo High School, IPFW and the University of Notre Dame. This is his first elected office.

He is a member of the Government Reform Committee and chairs its Subcommittee on Criminal Justice, Drug Policy and Human Resources.
