Melchior Josef Martin Knüsel (November 16, 1813 - January 15, 1889) was a Swiss politician who was president of Switzerland twice, in 1861 and 1866.
He was elected to the Federal Council of Switzerland on July 14, 1855, and handed over office on December 31, 1875. He was affiliated with the Free Democratic Party of Switzerland. While in office he held the following departments:
