Modern Continental is a heavy-construction company based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Modern is one of the major contractors on the Central Artery/Tunnel Project, the largest single public works project in United States history. Modern was founded in 1967 by Kenneth Anderson and Italian immigrant Les Marino, and is still closely held today.

In addition to highway and rail construction, Modern Continental also builds housing developments, builds and manages office buildings, operates marinas, operates charter and tendered bus and ferry services, owns and operates an organic produce farm in Natick, Massachusetts, and operates an Italian restaurant in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Modern's principal competitors in the construction business include Jay Cashman, Inc, Perini Corporation, Peter Kiewit Sons', and Skanska USA. Competitors in the transportation business include Fidelity Investments' BostonCoach and the charter operations of Peter Pan Bus Lines (formerly Coach USA's Mini Coach of Boston).

Modern Continental's headquarters are located at 640 Memorial Drive, Cambridge, Massachusetts.
