Mynga Futrell has been an educator at all levels of instruction in USA, from an elementary open school through university professor, including at Gallaudet University for the Deaf in Washington, DC. She is president of Atheists and Other Freethinkers and on the national advisory councils of Americans United for the Separation of Church and State, and the 3Rs (rights, respect, responsibility) religious liberty project for teachers initiated by the First Amendment Center. She is the co-director of The Brights Net. She is also lead curriculum developer for Teaching About Religion a religion-neutral professional web resource for educators.
