Näsijärvi is a lake in southern Finland. Näsijärvi is the biggest lake in the Tampere area. It is 25680 hectares of size.

Tampere is located in between of lakes Näsijärvi and Pyhäjärvi and there is a rapid flowing through the city starting from lake lake Näsijärvi.

The water quality of the lake has improved as forest industry has decreased the amount of waste water.
