The New Communist Party of Britain is a communist political party in Britain. They left the Communist Party of Great Britain in 1977. They are known as "Tankies" (an abusive nickname for those communists most sympathetic to the suppression of the Hungarian Revolution in 1956) and broadly sympathise with the Breznevite period of Stalinist politics. It produces a newspaper called the New Worker.
