Nick Tate (born June 18, 1942) is a popular Australian actor best known for his role as the likable but tough Eagle pilot Alan Carter in both seasons of the 1970's science fiction television show Space: 1999. In later years he had supporting roles in the theatrical films A Cry in the Dark (1988) and Hook (1991), and made guest appearances on such hit TV series as The X-Files, Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: The Next Generation.
