During the American-led 2003 invasion of Iraq, Operation Bulldog Mammoth was a cordon-and-search operation conducted by the Third Brigade, 1st Armored Division on 4 December, 2003.

The troops surrounded the Abu Ghurayb apartment complex in Baghdad and moved through the area looking for weapons. They captured and destroyed 220 automatic rifles, fifteen RPGss and some hand grenades. The action lasted less than six hours and no shots were fired.
