The Orange Hawkweed (also known as Devil's Paintbrush) is a wild flower which originally grew on alpine meadows in the European mountains. It was introduced into the US in 1875 as an ornamental plant, and has since spread to several states both in the west and the east. It is considered a noxious weed in the US because it can dominate the local plants.

The flower blooms from June to August, with the orange flowers on a up to 60 cm high stem. The hairy leaves are only at the ground.
