The Oregon Constitution is the governing document of the American state of Oregon. It was ratified on November 9, 1857, prior to Oregon's statehood on February 14, 1859.

While Oregon is far enough north that slavery was never an issue, it is a less-than-happy memory that the original state constitution forbade free blacks from settling in Oregon. This clause has been rescinded (info needed here: the original writer of this article couldn't find when; anyone who knows please fill it in).
