It connects to the Northern Line, and is between Stockwell and Kennington. It is in zone 2. Oval tube station From Oval tube station, buses travel to Brixton, Camberwell Green and other places. Oval opened 18 December 1890. After a long escalator refurbishment in 2003, during which access both onto and from the platform was given by a pair of spiral staircases, the escalators were briefly reopened.
