Penuelas is located to the west of Ponce, about a 30 minute drive by car from Ponce's downtown. Penuelas has about 10,000 inhabitants. Penuelas is better known for the large manufacturers that have manufacturing plants there. Corco used to operate a plant there, and many other companies still do.
