The racial makeup of the town is 79.21% White, 2.20% African American, 0.88% Native American, 11.03% Asian, 0.31% Pacific Islander, 2.02% from other races, and 4.36% from two or more races. 4.78% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 8,698 households out of which 36.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.6% are married couples living together, 10.5% have a female householder with no husband present, and 31.1% are non-families. 21.7% of all households are made up of individuals and 3.5% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.63 and the average family size is 3.11.
