Piney Point Village is a city in Harris County, Texas. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 3,380.

Piney Point Village is located at 29°45'42" North, 95°30'58" West (29.761728, -95.516029)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 5.5 km² (2.1 mi²). 5.5 km² (2.1 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there are 3,380 people, 1,225 households, and 982 families residing in the city. The population density is 609.8/km² (1,580.3/mi²). There are 1,282 housing units at an average density of 231.3/km² (599.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 89.26% White, 0.53% African American, 0.03% Native American, 8.40% Asian, 0.09% Pacific Islander, 0.44% from other races, and 1.24% from two or more races. 3.76% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 1,225 households out of which 36.6% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 75.8% are married couples living together, 2.9% have a female householder with no husband present, and 19.8% are non-families. 18.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 8.3% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.76 and the average family size is 3.12.
