Wise Intelligent, Culture Freedom and Father Shaheed released their first album, Holy Intellect, in 1990 (see 1990 in music), followed by Pure Poverty the following year. Their follow-up and most successful released was 1993's Black Busines, which drew criticism for alleged homophobia.
