In Greek mythology, Pothos was the personification of desire. He was a son of Cronus and Aphrodite.

Pothos is the common name (formerly the genus) of a popular houseplant (Epipremnum pinnatum) with heart-shaped leaves and decorative spotting in white, yellow, or light green. Pothos is a climbing vine (liana) of considerable size in its native habitat (or where naturalized in tropical forests). It is in the flowering plant Family Araceae.
