She was christened Astrid Josephine-Charlotte Fabrizia Elisabeth Paola Maria. Her Royal Highness married Archduke Lorenz of Austria-Este in 1984. They have five children, Prince Amedeo, Princess Maria Laura, Prince Joachim, Princess Luisa Maria, and Princess Laetitia Maria. Princess Astrid is President of the Belgian Red Cross.
