census of 2000, there are 395 people, 86 households, and 58 families residing in the village. The population density is 146.6/km² (381.0/mi²). There are 100 housing units at an average density of 37.1/km² (96.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 97.72% White, 1.77% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.25% from other races, and 0.25% from two or more races. 0.76% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 86 households out of which 36.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.1% are married couples living together, 9.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 31.4% are non-families. 29.1% of all households are made up of individuals and 22.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.58 and the average family size is 3.19.
