Born as Maureen Reilette Jackson in Gary, Indiana, she began her solo career in 1984 with "Centipede", a song written and produced by Michael Jackson. The album Centipede was followed by Reaction in 1986 and R U Tuff Enuff in 1988. Rebbie also appeared on the Free Willy 2 soundtrack in 1995. Her next studio album was Yours Faithfully in 1998.
