Rec.arts.tv.mst3k.misc is a Usenet newsgroup for fans of the cult TV series Mystery Science Theater 3000 to gather and post public messages related to the show. It was created after the users of the newsgroup alt.tv.mst3k worked to create a newsgroup in the "Big 8" hierarchy.

This newsgroup is noteworthy for sparking one of the few successful campaigns to save a TV show from cancellation. When the cable channel Comedy Central announced that it would no longer produce new episodes of MST3K, the show's legions of Internet users banded together and campaigned for the show to continue. Users of the newsgroup purchased a full-page advertisement in the popular entertainment industry magazine Variety to make their plight known to Hollywood. As a result of the campaign, the show was picked up by the Sci-Fi Channel, where it continued for three more seasons before the creators of the show ended it for good.
