Main Page | See live article | Alphabetical index Rick Roufus (born June 3, 1967) is a kick boxer from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is one of the most visible figures of his sport. Roufus, nicknamed The Jet, has been a six time kick-boxing world champion. In the early 1990s, he announced he would change profession and turn into conventional boxing instead. He enjoyed some success as a boxer, winning the WBC's continental Americas Cruiserweight title in 1996. He was never able to fight for a world championship as a conventional boxer, however, and returned to kick-boxing in the late 1990s. He added the K-1's USA championship to his six world titles in 1998. Roufus recently lost in his bid to add a seventh world championship belt.
