Harry Leroy "Roy" Halladay (born May 14, 1977) is a Major League Baseball pitcher. He has played for the Toronto Blue Jays since 1998. He was born in Denver, Colorado, USA.

His best seasons were 2002, in which he made the All-star team, and posted a 19-7 record with a 2.93 ERA and 168 strikeouts, and 2003, when he won the AL Cy Young Award with a 22-7 record, a 3.25 ERA, and 204 strikeouts. In 2003, he also led the AL in innings pitched (266.0) and tied for the AL lead in complete games (nine).

Halladay's pitches include a good fastball, one of the best curveballs in the league, and a split-fingered fastball. He usually posts a good strikeout-to-walk ratio and is a groundball pitcher.
