Ryan Tubridy is television and radio presenter on Radio Telifís Éireann. He is a grandson of Todd Andrews, one of the founding members of Fianna Fáil.
Turbidy graduated from University College Dublin in the early 1990s. He entered RTÉ where he worked as a reporter for some radio shows, before presenting Morning Glory on RTÉ Radio 1 in the summer on 1999. In July 2000 he moved to The Sunday Show, one of Radio 1's premier Sunday morning shows. He now presents RTE's 2FM morning show, The Full Irish.
In 2003, he was made the presenter of the high-profile Role of Tralee competition, which which women of Irish descent from all over the world compete to be named 'the Rose of Tralee'. The programme, which runs over two nights and dominates the TV schedule in August every year, was previously presented by Late Late Show presenter Gay Byrne, Derek Davis and Marty Whelan.
