Salome is a 1923 film which tells the story from the Bible of how Salome seduces her stepfather/uncle, King Herod, with a dance, in order to gain the head of John the Baptist. It stars Alla Nazimova, Rose Dione, Mitchell Lewis and Nigel De Brulier.

The movie was adapted by Natacha Rambova (as Peter M. Winters) from the Oscar Wilde play. In 2000 the United States Library of Congress deemed the film "culturally significant" and selected it for preservation in the National Film Registry.
