Seoul National University (국립 서울 대학교) is one of the most prestigious colleges located in Seoul, South Korea.
The university was founded in Seoul in 1924 as the sixth imperial university of Japan. Its original name was "Gyeongseong Imperial University" (경성제국대학 Gyeongseong Jeguk Daehak 京城帝国大学 Keijō teikoku daigaku, abbreviated to 城大 Jōdai).
