The racial makeup of the city is 96.58% White, 0.15% African American, 0.10% Native American, 0.85% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 1.62% from other races, and 0.67% from two or more races. 4.67% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 1,831 households out of which 33.9% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 68.0% are married couples living together, 4.8% have a female householder with no husband present, and 26.2% are non-families. 23.1% of all households are made up of individuals and 12.4% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.63 and the average family size is 3.10.
