census of 2000, there are 813 people, 282 households, and 227 families residing in the town. The population density is 8.9/km² (23.2/mi²). There are 291 housing units at an average density of 3.2/km² (8.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 98.52% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.12% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.62% from other races, and 0.74% from two or more races. 0.86% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 282 households out of which 37.9% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 70.9% are married couples living together, 5.7% have a female householder with no husband present, and 19.5% are non-families. 16.7% of all households are made up of individuals and 7.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.88 and the average family size is 3.22.
