In the fictional universe of J. R. R. Tolkien, Tar-Amandil was the third King of Númenor. In fact, Tar-Amandil's father, Vardamir Nólimon, refused to take the throne upon the death of his father, Elros Tar-Minyatur, and so Tar-Amandil is actually the second ruling monarch, but Vardamir Nólimon is still counted in the list of Kings.
Tar-Amandil was succeeded by his son, Tar-Elendil.
