Main Page | See live article | Alphabetical index The Tay Road Bridge is a road bridge in Scotland over the River Tay from Newport-on-Tay in the north east of Fife, to the City of Dundee. It lies to the east of the Tay Rail Bridge. Designed by William Fairhurst, it is a concrete multispanned toll bridge, 1.4 miles (2250 m) long, and one of the longest road bridges in Europe. It is 10 m (32') above water level. West Graving Dock, King William Dock and Earl Grey dock were infilled as part of the construction.
