Teemu Selänne, "The Finnish Flash", began his NHL career with the Winnipeg Jets. He scored 76 goals in his rookie season, all-time record. Later traded to the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, Selänne teamed up with Paul Kariya to form one of the most potent scoring duos in all the NHL. In the spring of 2001 Selanne was again traded, this time to the San Jose Sharks.

Known for his speed, Selänne also has great hands and a remarkable ability to put the puck in the net. He's also a fan favorite as he has a bright, friendly personality.

After a disappointing season in San Jose Selanne became a free agent in 2003, he signed a contract with the Colorado Avalanche where he again will be joined by Paul Karyia.
