The Cover Girls were a New York City-based latin freestyle pop trio, the brainchild of music promoter Sal Abbatiello. The membership changed frequently during the group's career, which began with several minor hits in 1987 (see 1987 in music). The title track to their debut, We Can't Go Wrong, was their first national hit. They were never able to follow-up with another hit, though, and the original members were eventually gone, and replaced with an entirely new trio.
