The Shop on Main Street (also knwon as Obchod na korze) is a Czech and Slovak language film which tells the story of a poor Slovak who is offered the chance to take over the sewing store of an old Jewish woman during World War II. The woman thinks he has come to work for her, and their relationship grows, until the authorities demand that all of the Jews leave the town. It stars Josef Kroner and Ida Kaminska.

The movie was written by Ladislav Grosman, Ján Kadár and Elmar Klos. It was directed by Kadár and Klos.

The movie won the 1966 Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, and was nominated in 1967 for Best Actress in a Leading Role (Ida Kaminska).
