Time After Time is a pop song that has been heralded as the only classic ballad to come from the era of the 1980s. Written by singer Cyndi Lauper, it has been covered by over 30 other big name performers. The music video featured a lonesome and sad Lauper parting ways with a long-time lover and boarding a train to another land.

Note that this title also belongs to a different tune generally regarded as a Jazz Standard. Although Cyndi Lauper's version has been covered by major jazz artists, including Miles Davis, many albums featuring this title contain the earlier jazz number instead.

Time After Time (movie) A film Directed by Nicholas Meyer and starring Malcolm McDowell, David Warner and Mary Steenburgen in which H.G. Wells chases Jack the Ripper across time.

"This song made Cyndi Lauper a classic girl"
