Tolpuddle is a small village in the southern English county of Dorset, east of Dorchester and west of Poole. The village is famous as the home of the Tolpuddle Martyrs. In the 2001 UK Census Tolpuddle had a population of 340. In 2001 the A35 trunk road, which cuts through south Dorset, was moved to bypass the village. An annual festival is held in the village in the third weekend of July.
