Main Page | See live article | Alphabetical index The Tuareg are an ethnic group currently found mostly in West Africa, but were once nomads throughout the Sahara. They are closely related to North African Berbers and speak a Berber language called Tamashaq. Their writing system, Tifinagh, is the only original Berber script still in use.
