Viktor Lutze (December 28, 1890 - May 2, 1943) was an SA officer (Gruppenführer) in Germany. His participation at the "Night of the Long Knives" was very important, due to the fact that he was the one to inform Adolf Hitler about Ernst Röhm's anti-regime activities. After the purge he was the new leader of the SA (Stabschef der SA) until his death in a car accident.
