Yau Tsim Mong
zh-cn:油尖旺区 zh-tw:油尖旺區Yau Tsim Mong (油尖旺) is one of the 18 districts of Hong Kong. It is located in the west of Kowloon. Population (2000): 295,700. Its name is the contraction of the first characters of three of its areas: Yau Ma Tei, Tsim Sha Tsui, and Mong Kok.
Areas within the district include:
- Tsim Sha Tsui
- Jordan
- Yau Ma Tei
- Mong Kok
- Prince Edward
- Ho Man Tin (何文田) area, named after a street, which in turn was named after a person
Transportation
The area is served by the Tsuen Wan Line, Tung Chung Line and the Airport Express of the MTR metro system, as well as by the KCR railway (Mong Kok station).
