Ardour is a professional hard disk recorder program. It currently runs on Linux, Solaris, and MacOS X. Ardour is free software under the GPL. Its main author is Paul Davis, who is also the main author of JACK. His intention is to make the best possible digital audio workstation.
Since Ardour 0.9beta5 there is support to operate in conjunction with Animatrics, from the Center for Music Technology at the University of Glasgow.
