Its preservice teacher education programmes include degree and graduate programmes from early childhood to secondary education, and kura kaupapa Māori. The college has second campus in Whangarei. In 2002, the college initiated development of a proposal to amalgamate with the University of Auckland, to create a Faculty of Education at the college’s Epsom campus.
