FUNimation is a Fort Worth, Texas based company that specializes in distributing anime DVDs and other merchandise in the United States.
FUNimation rose to prominence by acquiring the rights to the popular anime titles Dragonball and Dragonball Z. They also own the distribution rights to other titles including Dragonball GT, Yu Yu Hakusho, Blue Gender, Fruits Basket, One Piece, Kiddy Grade and Detective Conan. In addition, they also provide distribution services for the kids animation company 4Kids, who produced the American version of the anime titles Yu-Gi-Oh and Shaman King.
