Kings Langley is a village in the county of Hertfordshire , England . It is a linear village lying on the old A41 trunk road 2 mile south of Hemel Hempstead. It was formerly the site of a Royal palace used by the Plantagenet kings of England, Hence the name King’s.

The Grand Union canal and the main railway line from London to the north west pass through the village.
